THE NIGHT

So frighteningly arctic was that night
The winds howled and the snow filled up the bowels of the earth
Leaving every soul fighting off the dreadful cold
The night so dark and morbid not a single ray of light shone
The moon was covered with a sheet of blackness
There was a screaming sound heard in the distance
Causing panic to fill the air
Hearts beat faster and breathing gets deeper
As the sound draws nearer
Then all of a suddenly
Dead silence took over the night.
Upon the early rising of the sun
All that was to be found was an emptiness that filled the room.
