GONE

Gone is the happiness that once filled our lives
Where sadness now fills the void
and leaves the soul stricken, lifeless and empty.
Gone is the love that once filled the air
And spurred on joy, peace
And strong bonds between two souls.

Gone is the feeling of being wanted, being needed.
The constant feeling of fear of being abandoned
In a cruel world, alone and empty.
Weakening the soul
Crushing the spirit
Killing the heart.

Joy has been replaced with pain and love with anger.
The soul is lost and the mind is forsaken
And the heart buried beneath all the negative feelings.
Overpowered by the cruelty it struggles so hard to keep out.

Longing for all that is lost.
Craving for the life once enjoyed.
Saddened by life's cruel way of treating
The already shattered soul.
Worthlessness overpowers the good within
 Leaving the soul confused.

For all the efforts of attempting to savor
The happiness and love that once was present.
All that is accomplished is heartache and pain.
Anger and worthlessness sets in.
The soul gives up.
Surrenders to the very thing that is fighting against.
Realizing that there is no turning back the hands of time.
No undoing all the hurt and anger.
Realizing that all is
Gone!
